The standard of our richly appointed hotel rooms is among the highest in the Barrow in Furness and South Cumbria area of the Lake District. Our rooms combine the comforts of home with the little luxuries you would expect from a hotel on the edge of the stunning English Lake District. We also offer disabled rooms designed to make access as easy as possible and family bedrooms to accommodate guests with children.

The Abbey House Hotel, South Cumbria, has a range of 61 individually designed bedrooms to suit any budget and taste. We boast two beautifully refurbished honeymoon suites where no detail or comfort has been overlooked.  Our double rooms are tastefully decorated and most have views of the lovely South Cumbria grounds and gardens, as well as the surrounding Lakes District.  In the main part of the hotel there is an eclectic mix of comfortable single rooms, twin rooms and doubles.  There are also larger executive rooms for those who like a little more space.  For the disabled traveller we have lovely ground floor rooms which are fitted with disabled amenities and close to reception.  Whatever your taste or requirements, we have something for everyone.

Our family bedrooms are spacious, individually furnished and large enough to accommodate two adults and two children.
