October 25, 2016
On Sunday 30th October 2016 Abbey House will holding a ‘Vintage Wedding Fair’ from 10am untill 2pm. Come down and explore our unique venue, chat to suppliers and discover lots of inspirational ideas!
We asked each of our suppliers a series of questions, for you to get to know a little bit more about them and their business’.
Today’s supplier is the lovely Sitting Pretty.
Favourite colour
My favourite colour is grey, it’s been a very popular colour scheme with bride and grooms this year and one I used for my own wedding. It also features heavily in my decor at home.
Favourite movie
I am not really much of a movie buff but really enjoyed the Wolf of Wall Street which starred Leonardo Dicaprio.
Favourite song
So hard to pick one favourite song as there are so many. The album I have on in the car at the moment is Blossoms, Charlemagne always makes me turn the volume up nice and loud.
Favourite part of a wedding
My favourite part of a wedding as a stylist is seeing everything come together on the day. I love to see the bride and grooms themes come to life and how the choice of our chair covers and sashes compliment their decor, favours, flowers, cake and wedding outfits.
About you & your business
Sitting Pretty was established in May 2015 by myself Marie Scott after taking over the business from a busy local florist. With over ten years experience in the creative industry I decided to take a bit of time out to spend with my family and through planning my own wedding the perfect opportunity arose to start Sitting Pretty. I have always loved all aspects of design and using my creative flair so am thrilled to help couples plan their perfect day.
Best thing about working with Abbey House Hotel & Gardens
It is a pleasure to work alongside one of the best hotels in the Lake District with every wedding being different. It also is a very special place to me personally as I got married here in last year.
