September 3, 2016

Back in July, we had the very glamorous Aynsley & Ben celebrate their marriage at Abbey House Hotel & Gardens. The day was magical from start to finish, filled with love, laughter and tears from all their close family and friends.

The happy couple booked out Abbey House Hotel & Gardens exclusively for their day along with our Crystal Package.

Eriin Browne defiantly captured the romance in the air on the day!

How did you know Abbey House was the right venue for you?

Myself, husband and bridal party had visited many places at the lake district and had actually provisionally booked a venue. However, my cousin Dionne who had married at Abbey House on 7th December 2013 had prompted me to visit Abbey House knowing I wasn’t certain on the current selected venue.

We came to abbey house and I was instantly attracted to the venue and décor which was fitting to my taste. Myself and Ben had a meeting with John Horton who was very warm, welcoming and accommodating. From this date we booked Abbey House Hotel and Gardens for 23rd July 2016 and we didn’t look back.

“Ben & Aynsley we’re great fun to photograph. Their wedding was modern, fun and glamorous – perfect for their personalities! It was a celebration all day and the families were lovely, what a beautiful father daughter bond. We had gorgeous weather all day and I took the opportunity to head off with them both for my favourite part of the day, bride and groom portraiture. We actually shot these pretty quickly as they were eager to get back and join their guests, but with the gorgeous grounds of Abbey House to play with we didn’t need to go far or take long at all. Ben came to the rescue at one point scooping his bride up in his arms to get across some mud, and I’m sure they both agree the little detour was worth it.”

Where did your inspiration come from?

I didn’t choose a particular theme but I wanted an elegant, modern glamorous feel for our day. I knew the colours and theme I wanted when I first started planning our wedding; as a stressed bride I did doubt everything I had chosen but this came together perfectly on the day and I was so happy with everything.

How did you feel the morning of your wedding?

Nervous actually!! I wasn’t nervous at all to the buildup of our wedding but Ben was but our places switched on the morning of our wedding. Once I’d had a couple of glasses of champagne my nerves soon settled.

What was the best thing about your wedding day?

Marrying my husband in front of our friends and family. Also seeing all the hard work pay off and being able to share such as perfect day with everyone.
