The Abbey House Hotel has just been voted as The Best Wedding Venue in Cumbria. Set in fourteen acres of private woodland and gardens and is ideally placed for exploring the stunning Lake District and the surrounding areas. Being on the outskirts of Barrow In Furness, Cumbria, the hotel takes its name from the neighboring ruins of one of the greatest Cistercian foundations in the country, Furness Abbey which was built back in the 11th Century. Our guest accommodation consists of 61 individually designed bedrooms including two beautiful honeymoon suites which have been decorated to the highest standard and are the envy of other local hotels.  We are also proud to announce the re-furbishment of our "LODGE" is now complete.  Each room has a flat screen television, free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities and for ease of access there are two lifts situated in the hotel.
